Time Doesn'T Heal

It’s evident now
Time doesn’t heal
It messes with your head and
Blurs what’s real
I look at the clouds
And try to see you
I wish on a star
To try to get through
But the fact of it all
Is that we’re still here
We can plead and beg
But you’re not very near
I guess now it’s a catastrophe
This despair has a firm hold of me
I don’t think now I can ever go back
To the person who I was before
This melancholy turned all black
From a utopian, beautiful world
Please grant me signs
And wishes from afar
For your daughter
Trying to breathe under the tar
