Time and Fate Have This Grievous Lesson Taught
Time And Fate Have This Grievous Lesson Taught
Of all the virgin fields I once plowed
There were many meadows of purest gold
Not one to enjoy being in a crowd
Prideful that my honor never was sold
I in my haste once truly lost my way
Allowing Love to over me thus rule
I now understand and rule that dark day
For my stark blindness and being a fool.
As this too oft dark world seeks to destroy
Trap was set, she a sensual creature
Her ultimate goal take away my joy
Her ravishing beauty, her great feature
I dreamed, I begged for her sweet love
And she with her darkness played along
She was the ravenous wolf, I the dove
Teaching me depths of saddest lost love song.
Time and Fate have this grievous lesson taught
Fake love, lie in it - you will soon be caught.
