Time, a Measured Thing

Time, a measured thing,
the substance of a finite scale.
Within the boundaries of Eternity
these finite moments pale.

The span of days allotted to man,
from the moment of birth to his passing,
Are they not alone known only to God
whose days are everlasting ?

Everything that you will ever need
to succeed on your own journey here
Is given by Him who has known your days
before your moment of birth drew near.

So live today as if it’s your last,
for you know not what tomorrow may bring.
And yet, live as though your days shall be full
because you know it’s to Him that you cling.
