Time

Seconds
Minutes
Hours
Months
Years
 Come and go
Never seeing them until it hits
Never able to get it back
Not able to stop it from coming
That is life,
Do not let that slip away
Remember that is kids too
One minute they are in your arms
Looking at you
Needing you
Knowing you will protect
And in a blink of an eye
They don’t need you
So they say
They fall
You swoop them up
Seconds
Minutes
Hours
Months
Years
Now you look at them
Watch them walking down that aisle
Both turn around, holding hands
That kid, you held is now
Married
Taking care of themselves
And their spouse
 Seconds
Minutes
Hours
Months
Years
That kid you held
Now is holding their own
