Time
Did you watch the sun arise from its slumber;
Were you there to watch the birds take flight
At the first sign of mornings light.
How do you live, feeling just okay.
Is each day nothing than the air you breathe.
Have you ever seen the autumn leaves swaying in the wind.
Do you ever put your mind at ease.
When was the last time you were still,
Listening only to the silence.
As the sun returns to its slumber
Do you ever count the number of shimmering stars
Glistening in the night sky.
Do you ever wonder why?
Why is it the world tells you one thing,
But you feel it should be the other way around.
