Time

A sworn foe of those who just sit and wait,
a cherished friend to shapers of their fate,
wasted in youth, aimless and desperate
yet treasured in old age happily content.

Lets see...yes, yes, yes, and yes. OK I'd ay you got this one nailed. Insightful, comforting, lost and found, and maybe even a bit frightening as we look back on ourselves and see every word. A great poem as usual Fred. Happy to be back online and reading your work again. My best, Charlie

Great subject matter Wilfredo. You did justice to it in these four lines. It's such a shame about that third one. Love your happy ending. Love, Shar

What a wise, and hopeful poem, especially the last - it gives me something great to look forward too. Peace at long last. :) Love Kristin
