Time
Beautiful is life
When life is lived well
Generous the opportunities
Enrichment entails
But when life is not lived
Squandered; worthless, trivial pursuits
Life passes by
Wasteful; all actions are moot
Hindsight is tragic
Life’s purpose unfound
We cling to a fictitious image
The facade of something profound
Intentions misguided
Time; unaware of all that is lost
Intoxicated by foolish pleasures
Cognitively; deep despair is the cost
You lived life as if it was forever
Impermanence; never entered your mind
You procrastinated
Now you beg and pray for more time
All we have is this very moment
Time is valuable; profound
Awareness; so much has been wasted
What do you do now?
We all die before our time
Frantic; it’s sad and true
You don’t waste time
You waste you
