Notes About The Poem

Time

How the Japanese magnolia has grown
It nearly fills the whole fenced corner now
How many years have I claimed it as my own
Time has flown and years flowed somehow

The sun rises daily, though each sunrise
Is different, sometimes fabulous shades
Sometimes clear illumination, some tie dye
Today golden against gray fog it has made

Those wispy fluffy gray clouds slowly increase
There is a dampness to the cool air
Will the clouds gather and rain flow with ease
Will there be coolness all day which seems fair

The golden sun has disappeared behind
Those deep gray water laden clouds so thick
Does the sun take an opportunity to rest unwind
While two rays peek out and seeing them a trick

Sara, I happened upon a comment you had made to somebody and it made me think to come and see if you have posted new poems recently. I see this is about the only new one in the last few months, but it is a beauty and is so meaningful. Hope all is well with you.
