Till the River

I can speak you know
But my thoughts betray me.
And all the answers go
Slip through my fingers.

My silence swallows me
My desparation eaten by the valley below
My screams are silence, come out plain
My mind though balanced, clearly insane

Bygone - till the river - runs dry
Now the skies scream mourning
Love like just hello and goodbye
Seems like the same old mawkish story

Damn you, why'd you ... have to leave me sorry
Damn you, why'd you ... have to go away
And leave me all alone
Dried white like bone
