Tiger Woods Is Not a Hero

Tiger Woods is not a hero, he's a man He's a man in a group with others, who can't resist a wild party girl to make a man's middle age a bit more exciting to hold off the boredom of being settled and safe jon gosslin, john edwards, bill clinton, tiger woods, derek jeter, arod, countless actors and the men in your family your house your neighborhood yes a man is weak (and sometimes a woman) drawn to excitement once their security is established the bubbling excitement of a double life father, provider, husband, lover and then wild man in bed with a wild woman is just too enticing the power is as intoxicating as the sex be careful who you hold up to your children as heros not athletes or actors not professors or teachers not polititians be careful the real heros are the exceptional ordinary people who work their lives in a steady way and lead by example I

nice reflection but even superstars are not faultless ... but still heros should be home grown and found at your front door not people you cannot touch through a tv screen ... nice poem I liked it kind regards Jayne

Very nice poem. Even the best of men, when fame and glory has made them the target of "sports-groupies", can fall short of the "Glory of God" when they are aggressively sought for sex. And media reaps havoc on a good man's character. Faltering is a human weakness. Forgiveness is a God given requirement. Heroes???? There is only one perfect hero that has ever lived on earth... Jesus Christ. The rest fall somewhere in a line behind him. For no other MAN is totally perfect always. Love

Thankxxx for your comment on Breathe... just ended my year long relationship ..hence the "crushing" word .. crushing me upon the end of the romance... I guess he wasn't "the one" that I hear so much about... maybe he'll be under the Christmas tree in a few days... next to the Nativity Scene... blessings... luv.. Linda-Marie, P.E.P.S. "Sweetheart"

Hi Veronica So ver true, Our heros should be our loved one's. They are the ones who keep our foundation in life strong. Anytime we put the label hero on celebs etc. we track of what's important. We're all just having a human experience, it does not matter what ones occupation is. Truly enjoyed! Love Light Patty

What a magnificent narrative from your truthful pen today Veronica...u have nailed every truth imaginable in your words today.. celebrities need this kind of validation to exist .. one woman or man is not nor never enough .. some neighbors, friends and family members are guilty too.. our kids examples need to be us to keep them on the right path... a favorite poem of mine now .. am getting a frame for it and putting in on my wall in my den where I write .. thankxxx .blessings... luv.. "Sweetie"

Powerful thesis on our humanity ... great advocacy teaching. Heroes are too easily made today ... while they act only in their personal interest. Hero is more than we have yet met. Thanks for you courage and insight ... keep teaching ... words have power. Peace and love
