Throwback
Throwback is a person like oh so whack
They do something for you, then they throw it right back
A throwback person knows right from the start
That when it was done, it wasn't from the heart
They do it, but with great expectation
Yeah it's fine, no limitations
But on mad day, they'll cut you no slack
Cause they can't wait to throw it all back
Remember that time I drove 2 hours in the rain to come get you
If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have no job
You ought to be glad I'm still yo friend
Yeah, when nobody else was there for ya, I made sure yall had food to eat
You ain't said all that when I gave you money for yo rent
I'm the one who let you come by me when you was mad with yo boyfriend
You ain't paid me back from the last time I lent you $40.00
Member I let you have that red dress
Who was the one you called when yo car broke down
You ain't never did nothing for me
I'm the only one who be looking out for you
Don't nobody else do nothing for you
We might know, or we might be
For Throwback is a he or she
Yeah, everyone know Throwback, there's one all around
They'll find a way to bring it up and won't ever live it down
Throw it right back in yo face, as if you didn't know
They did something for you a long time ago
Throwback shouldn't be like that
And neither should we
We should do it with good intent and then just let it be
