Through the Eyes of Owls

As a wise old owl From a branch of a tree. With eyes wide open Looked at me Intently, with his big staring eyes What is he trying to analyse What thoughts are coming into his mind What information will he find? From staring fixedly at me To add to this Owl's vocabulary. That he will hide behind his eyes Eyes that we humans think That makes all Owls look wise.

A wise old owl sat in an oak, the more he saw the less he spoke, the less he spoke the more he heard, Now wasn't he a wise old bird. I loved your owl poem, Shirley. Owls are cool!

I always image Owls wearing big horn- rimmed spectacles. I think that proves that I am losing the plot, or have never grown up. Thank you, Victor for your kind comments. Look after yourself, Shirley
