Through the Eyes of a Child

Innocence and hope, pureness of joy
Freshness in youth for each girl and boy
Precious ability to always believe
Through the eyes of a child...you'll see

First fluffy snowflakes of the season
Genuinely awaken the heart for no reason
Until Frosty appears among cries of glee
Through the eyes of a child...you'll see

Angels, candy canes, and balls of all colors
Shall deck the halls like no others
When blending together on one amazing tree
Through the eyes of a child...you'll see

White-bearded, red-suited, chubby old man
Thrilling children like no one else can
Doubtful, yet wishful, upon his knee
Through the eyes of a child...you'll see

Cookies are baked, stockings are hung
Decorations all around and shopping is done
Countdown begins to Christmas Eve
Through the eyes of a child...you'll see

It's wonderful how holidays take us back where we belong
Through treasured moments, the tune of a familiar song
Gather loved ones close, then you'll see
Through your eyes everything Christmas can be
