Through the Eyes of a Child

Through the eyes of a child there’s hope beyond the horizon.
That the suffering, abuse, and neglect would cease.
Those tiny little eyes paint a picture in the mind, that
Children would be world changers, and no longer be forgotten.

Through the eyes of a child the anger, desperation and pain.
So helpless, to retaliate let alone making assumptions to blame.
Despite the situation, and unfortunate circumstance,
Surviving that awful trauma, and given a second chance.

Through the eyes of a child, life is one big event after another.
Continuos problems, stress, and cares of this world.
Life celebrated, and freedom to do, all the important things that matters
To each small boy, and girl.

If we are not careful, I heard a small child say, we can be seen
as little creatures misunderstood, and over looked each day. Thanks to the
people who have been there, sharing love, support, and affection.
That's all it took.

To see the world through the eyes of a child would be a blessing. Nicely written. Vince

Great writing friend...I love it..and the truthfulness it portrays...I use to exercise a horse named Eyes Of A Child at a thoroughbred training center in Sellersburg Indiana, eleven miles from where I now live...the horse was a runner..and quite fast...won 4 or 5 races up in Ohio back in the mid to late 80's. I still travel to that training center at least once every month..Lawrence in Lou.
