Through Tears

The Eagles eye holds all
      Her tears fall as rains

Great, in a lot of ways- I was driving to Homer AK, then at a bridge there were 50 cars parked, some haphazardly and people were everywhere. I stopped the truck to see the matter. When I looked around I saw at least a thousand Eagles. Most in trees, 500 flying over the river below Salmon fishing and a few hundred on the rivers edge. That was 1986

majestic, for sure! Daniel, her blufftops here in the upper Mississippi basin in Wisconsin are allowing McMansions to build on top, reducing the unspoiled domain of the Eagles's habitat, surely a crime against nature and indictment of greed and local zoning, one can only sit and watch the Eagles circle looking for peace...james

Expressively beautiful Daniel.. wondrous words for a wondrous bird... they are the symbol of many things and especially here in the USA .. but magificent creatures in endangered species mode... brilliant Senryu poetry.. luv.. "Sweetheart"
