Through My Window

Light from the star
we call "The Sun" comes through
my window
    Nourishing the plants on my
window sill
My wishes float out through the
same open window
    Leaving me hope they will
form rich soil and take root
      Unable to see the future
               we must depend
on the pillars of hope we have
      built
Another day here in the vast
metropolis
              People move, cars move
the city is rocketing onward
   Through my window
 I see buildings where thousands
upon thousands of my fellow city
    dwellers
              Are eating, dreaming, hoping
as we all do
   The metropolis will give us
answers
        In due time

Such a vivid description of the dreams and hopes we all have, Matthew. How do we keep hope alive? I feel like I'm falling now. No insurance and potential skin cancer. I'm noping the National Cancer Institute can help. Love, Carolyn
