Thrillseeker
Let's go Bungee Jumping..... They said.
It will be fun..... They said.
I sat there and thought to myself,
"Well I've got time to kill"
"Why not give it a go"
"I may just get a thrill".
So with elastic bands around my feet,
And a helmet on my head,
I stood on the precipice,
My mind was full of dread.
I leant forward as I dove off,
Oh my word what was I thinking,
I must remember later,
I really must stop drinking.
As I went hurtling towards the water,
My heart was in my mouth,
My boobs were hanging round my neck,
As I was heading south.
I hit the water at such a speed,
I thought that was it,
I was scared, cold & wet,
I hated every minute.
I bounced back up into the air,
Oh please no not again,
What bad thing have I done?
Or am I just insane?
The next thing that I knew,
I was dangling upside down,
By the time I got back to the top,
I thought my underwear would be brown.
They hauled me up at long last,
I hardly made a sound,
All I could do was mumble,
As I bent and kissed the ground.
So next time you see me drink,
With time to have some fun,
Please, just leave me on a beach,
To sober up in the sun.
