Debjani Mitra Poet Couplet

Three Wishes

A breathing life ....to eat, work and sleep
Sowing wispy thoughts ...for dreams to reap.

Desires and Cravings ..caged in Pandora's box.
In torrid temptations....a Genie unlocks.

Three Wishes!!..to escape into  glorious world.
Yearnings and Longings....an endless unfurled.

A satiated soul....can it be my first wish?
A desireless Buddha.. curb  the greedy selfish. 

The acid of hatred, anger and anguish
Can it dissolve into water?.my profound second wish.

My last immortal wish?..to live on and on...
Embedded in Beloved.. Unforgotten.. when I'm gone.
