Three Minute Write

Got three minutes,
gotta think fast,
hope this poem 
won't be my last.

I wish I could cheat,
instead of writing
from the bottom
of my seat.

More time to go,
I must write fast,
not slow.

I'm in a panic.
My brain needs
a mechanic.

Why do this to me, Matt?
I think you are
a dirty rat!

Oh I'm sorry,
not what I meant - 
wait, I'm good -
I still haven't sent.

David, let me be the first to congratulate you on placing 12th out of 45 entries in my contest! Sorry it took so long to judge. Long story short my laptop would not and still does not accept the poetrysoup login screen. I'm doing this all on my phone just to get it judged. Regardless, when you specifically called me out within the poem I knew you would place. What bravery!!!

Thanks Matt! That's horrible and kind of strange that you can't log in from your laptop. Yep, I remember writing that. It took me exactly three minutes, and I just wrote from the top of my head. No time for planning and no filters. I was in a panic, and that's will I let slip your name - lol! It was maddening, but quite fun!
