Thoughts While Falling Down a Well

if you knew this play to be a tragedy
would you still run through these lines with me

if i were a siren
would you find your fate on the rocks

& if i were a phoenix
would you be a moth

this addiction's got me thinking
about the truth in tradegy
about the lies we tell ourselves
to blur the lines between
what we are & what we wish to be
