Thoughts That Lie
We live in a world corrupted by sin
If you don’t quit remember you win
Messages are constantly told to our spirits
Screams that are so loud our unborn seeds can here it
You’re not good enough, look at your scars
But they are all lies that hide who we really are
We hide behind people, material and personal gain
Subject ourselves to vanities that harshly proclaim
Their fabricated truths and distorted perceptions
So many left afraid and in deep deception
Look up to the sky when those thoughts utter their deceit
You are a beautiful soul with a God given heart beat
Precious and unique, delicate and rare
Not one in this world could ever compare
But the stage is set for comparison
Confusing our heads on where to begin
Just be the best you
That’s all you can do
And watch as you’ll shine
Through the darkness of our times.
