Thoughts On Life

Tell you about myself, easy
I'm too young, it shouldn't be
Parkinson's, a disease of age
'Least that's how I read the page.

Pity me not, but friendship offer
Renew the strength that's in my coffer.
Likes and dislikes you asked me of
Better to speak of love and dis-love.

Broccoli never will pass my lips
I'd rather have a bag of chips
Lasagna is favorite, I'd say
Still it matters not come end of day.

Life is more than what I eat
Life needs God to be complete
Faith is built by answered prayers
And listening not to naysayers.

With His help all burdens bear
I'll meet the challenge, have no fear
A bitter soul, just a rumor
Through it all I'll look for humor

You think someday I'll be able to write a poem that could be turned into a hit song? You know if I posted it on this site but I have a poem called "fire in the ice". The intention is to have it turn into a song.

Thanks, knowing it's appreciated makes effort on both counts worthwhile.

Love your attitude. My daughter has some chronic diseases. It's difficult to see the joy and humor sometimes

So sorry to hear of your daughters health challenges. I know that sometimes remaining positive is difficult. I've been at the parents place for a couple of months because of my health , doctor today questioned whether I should return home at all. so I know it's a challenge to stay positive . But it's really the best way
