Thoughts of You

Thoughts of You

It’s one fifteen
Yet I can’t sleep
For my thoughts they rest on you.
My mind resides
And won’t deny
This hunger I never knew.

I’m taken back
Cannot relax
A feeling I can’t control.
I’m crying out
Without a doubt
For you, you make me whole.

From me I hide
Broken inside
But you draw me ever near.
Security
You offer me
What do I have to fear.

It’s nothing less
I must confess
Perfect in every way.
Though brought about
By an alternate route
Much to our dismay.

Where this leads
We shall see
This start of something new.
In me believe
I’ll never leave
For all I need is you.
