Thoughts Crescendo

I've worked so hard
I've been so strong
But now all I want
Is to be safe and warm
In your arms, lost in your eyes
Escape into darkness
Hide me from truth and lies
I haven't broken but
I'm laced with cracks
I need your voice in here
To bring me back
The silence deafening
We don't say a word
It can't be clearer
Even if you heard
The thoughts crescendo
Inside my head
The things we're thinking
Don't even need to be said
Every word is spelled out in your eyes
You know me best dear
And the sun will rise
