Thoughts

Do you see divorce as a failure?
I see it as a sign of strength
To remain in a love-less marriage
Isn't what marriage vows have meant

Indifference causes the death of love
It's impossible to defend
With one person's non-interest
Joint love must surely end

One can't repair what's divided
It takes nurturing daily
A dual commitment is still required
If we treat each other fairly

To remain together is useless
One's feelings begin to shut down
There's nothing to build for the future
And love feelings cannot be found

So we'll get single, vows we'll sever
We cannot alter what's past
No more alone-ness 'though still together
Find some peace at last.
