Thoughtless Words
You bruise my feelings
with your careless words
Not knowing how they hurt my heart
you spit them out
unrelenting pain stabs at my soul
cutting your words deep within
like cancer flowing through the body
do your words spread
taking a piece of me with every letter
by the end of the sentence i am gone
silent tears stream down
making tracks upon my face
yet another sign of the agony
your thoughtless words bring
