grizzly bear sat down next to me one day
taking the last seat on the NY subway
thought you would leave, he said to me
instead, I recorded his history
from Ioway that grand old state
and he usually gets to his job late
tiny bit fresh, he put his paw on my knee
no boundaries at all, bear number twenty-three
