Those Who Give

Those Who Give
Sometimes I wonder if life is worth living
Then I remember those in my life that keep giving
Those people mean the most to me
They keep me from hanging a noose in a tree
No matter how I feel they always show me love
To me they symbolize the sign of the dove
If I didn’t have them I’d be drab
Coffee cups and venison they let me grab
As I watch the wind blow through the rocking trees
I realize without their kindness, it’d drive me to my knees
Though my day may be a personal hell
Those people can make it turn out quite swell
This poem is a ode I wrote just for you
For happiness in my heart is quite true
