Those Who Follow Me

Sometimes I walk this road alone -- Sometimes they follow me. Sometimes the places that I go aren’t meant for them, but me. And, as a poet, I have responsibility, and must step very carefully. I write of things that I have done and things that I would be Always aware, in my steps are those who follow me. Some follow in blind loyalty, some by the trust they have in me. Some come out of curiosity and some come with expectancy To see me trip and fall. And so before this journey ends I’m sure I’ll satisfy them all. Written 03-15-13 John Posey

Hello John, thank you for making my day with your comment this morning. Your poem made me think of all the bad vibes good people in general get, bad energy is always out to get us.(we assume) I hope this is not a giving in feeling. If your gonna satisfy peeps on the outside don't do it by falling, I'm sure many people follow you because of how tall you stand without falling. Well i better mosey on out of here. my characters are almost running out. Have yourself a nice one :-) always * Linda

So creative Jake, I'm sure we touch many in our walk through life and you have spoken of some of the outcomes when we meet the strangers that cross our path.

"Sometimes the places that I go aren't meant for them, but for me"... oh how I can relate to that at times! We share because we like others to "feel" something from what we've written... but there are many times we write just so we can understand ourselves better. I don't wish upon anyone to stumble though... just as long as they pick themselves back up! Great poem John! Loved it :)
