Those That Serve

Amid the trappings of worldly thought
Can we forget how our countrymen fought?
Risking life and limb to keep us free
Must we be reminded they sacrifice for you and me?
Hearing the world shouting in the street
Damn those Americans they must retreat
If we agree or not with the reason why
Support for our troops is my ardent cry
Their love of this Country is spurring them on
No longer taking for granted we’ll be left alone
Strength be shown by standing for a belief
Praying countrymen not be burdened with grief
Contributions they make are far from small
Wishing God blessings will be with them all
