Those Rains In the Hills

Where are those lovely sounds? Of rain beating on the rooftops Of hillside cottages Oh! How much we miss That pitter-patter, The continuous chatter of rain drops, Gradually growing in intensity On those slanting, tin roofs. Though the rain would lash down With vengeance, Still it would appear Like soothing musical notes For anyone Who cared to listen And we listened, And we found it fun. The torrential rain, And the howling wind Together playing their flawless symphony With ‘Man’ and ‘Nature’ Living in perfect harmony.
