Those Phony Tornado Warnings

Those Phony Tornado Warnings By Elton Camp The weather radio went off again “Tornado warning,” it did begin Tom flipped it off with irritation “I truly hate that weather station.” “For it’s ‘wolf’ they always cry. But this time I’m not gonna buy.” “It’s just that same old song. Those dopes always get it wrong.” Tom wouldn’t listen to it anymore But in the distance came a roar Through the window he took a peek It was then that he began to shriek For bearing right down on him Was a sight frightening and grim A funnel cloud was on the ground Throwing storm debris all around “Negligence, negligence! Tom did cry For lack of warning I’m gonna die! But he had the warning he did need It was his fault that he didn’t heed
