Growing old comes to everyone, like it or not, it’s all part and parcel of our good maker's plot.
Memory sadly sometimes slowly fades away, but images stay sharp of those long ago days.
* * *
We can't always remember
in our life's ebbing sunset
Tho' some special memories
we never ever forget
Memories of days that once were
what joy it used to be
Not a worry, not a care
young of heart and trouble free.
Very first time of meeting
the one true love of your life
The way your heart triple flipped
and luscious kisses so nice
Every word that was spoken
stays etched in corners of mind
Every small gracious gesture
loving, generous and kind.
The twinkling stars in the sky
on enchanted balmy nights
Strolling along in the charm
of blissful mystic delights
In the arms of one's sweetheart
snuggled up cosy and close
Yes, there's some magic moments
one will remember the most.
