Those Lingering Stings

Those lingering stings grows depths and last. They seep their way in - to the past To claw out your inner soul - Those hopes you have with dents and holes.
Note: This is an old poem I wrote when I realized I couldn't forget the past and that it would always be a part of me: lingering.
