Those Eyes
oh to look into those depthless pools that bind me, and hold me captive
they catch my breath and hold it in i cannot speak when i am with you
i cannot even think, all i'm able to do is smile in childish happiness.
to just be in your beautiful presence
my tears fall as i fall for you and it hurts to now look into those pools and see
myself as i know you see me alone sad a distorted image of the presence i
project, and i am not pleased and i know you aren't either.
how could you be attracted to me? knowing what loves you. as i fall farther i
promise to you all i can, my love, my memories, all my hopes and dreams. i offer
you everything if you'd just love me, hold me, or want me. i have your friendship is
that all i will ever have? if so, I'll take it just to be close to you. it will do.
