Those Dreams

Those dreams that curse the heart with woe
Unanswered questions that remind
There is so much more left to find
If thoughts could find the way to go.
Yet words that hurt are still unkind,
When souls have nothing to repair
Can love then ever be defined,
If a heart cannot dare to care?

If a heart cannot dare to care,
The petals of hope must surely fall,
A silent phone that waits to call
Not knowing if love is still there.
The risks are high and never small
If only thoughts could let go
But hope is gone, destroyed in all
Those dreams that curse the heart with woe.
