Those Blue Eyes

Those blue eyes
Once so vibrant and alive
Now cold
Dark
Empty

Those blue eyes
Dancing sapphire spheres of joy
Now subdued
Quiet
Gray

Those blue eyes
I wonder if ever again they'll shine
Now dull
Sullen
Alone

I turn from my mirror
Resigned to my tragic fate
For those blue eyes?

They are mine.
