Thorntown

Where the harvest moon shines brighter
than any place I've ever known.
Where the homefire is always burning
the one place I can call home.

Where the cornfields stretch forever
standing tall and straight and green.
Where Sugar Creek flows peacefully
where I go to in my dreams.

Where the Friends Church on Sugar Plain
calls always to my heart.
Where friends and neighbors gather
and a brand new life can start.

Where my love and I were married
on that joyous October day.
Where my spirit keeps returning
while my body is far away.
