Thomas Cottam
He was born to Protestant parents
and became master of a grammar school.
In London, he was converted
to the faith of original Church.
In Rome, he became Jesuit novice.
Soon after he was ordained a priest,
desiring to become a missionary to India.
He returned home to recuperate from sickness.
In England he was arrested
and condemned to death because of faith.
After being tortured, he was executed –
the witness to Christ Church.
He is blessed spirit,
missionary of mercy,
achieving miracles
even in the city of Gotham.
