This Year
Warmth of the sun kisses winter goodbye
Where the grass grows green
and new buds are seen
This year's spring of rebirth
Redbird sings his joyous song
Where on the highest limb
He calls for her to join him
This year's love will find peace
Billowy clouds form in the sky
Where rainbows glow
and prayers will flow
This year's dream is for hope
Yellow daffodils gather at the grave
Where bees fly
and we tend to cry
This year's bloom is for eternity
