This Tum Ain'T Big Enough For the Both of Us....

I like it when you play music
It means I can stretch my legs
Chill out to the latest sound

And if its just me and you Mummy
At least we are spared the spectacle
That is my daddy, dancing around

I get four square meals a day
And as for eating chocolate
Well, i am not one to make a fuss

But it's getting quite a squeese in here
Pretty soon one of us had better go
This tum ain't big enough for the both of us..

Have a little thought for me Mummy
Don't over do it
There are two of us in this situation

Please play by the birthing book
Feed, water and talk to your bump
And your tum a little consideration

My daughter thoughts, I presume in the womb..

Welcome to Poetrysoup, Jo! I laughed at "the spectacle" of "daddy, dancing around." Chocolate surely is addictive isn't it? The last line brought it all home in great style. Hope to see more of your work! Love, Carolyn
