This Thing We Call Life

Throughout all of our daily lives we may encounter many friends. But through circumstance or sorrow, to soon that friendship ends. There are those who often bring you a smile who were there for you upon endless miles. Those you have shared a tender tear shared maybe a thought, cocktail, or beer. Without friendship in all of our lives, where would this world now be? A bunch of lonely souls floating through life, on a deep dark endless sea. So cherish those you have come to know, be thankful to those who allowed love to grow. To those who have left their fingerprints on your lives, as they were with you all the way, in this thing we call life.
Danny boy: 8-26-13 *This goes out to Lucilla Carrillo, and all others who consider me their friend. :o)

Really Nice poetry Dan Man.......I think there is a reason that people connect more with some than others and that has to do with the 'Fingerprints' and divine intervention and maybe we have connected with those people in some form from another life lived before.........Your poem is fabulous!!!!.....Shaz

Hey, Danno! Been back a week or better and I saw you on the New Poems section and thought I would check out what you and your pen have been up to! :) You are one of my old favorite writers because you write in simplicity. I do not need a dictionary or theasaurus to figure your verses out. Smile. Always some good common sense poem that I can relate to. Thanks for making my blessed night that much better. Have a good night. Take good care of you and yours, and God Bless you both, Lucinda

Danny boy; These are trully beautiful words that you have written, with me in your mind. I tell you now - you are one of a kind. It is not that I want to leave Poetry Soup, but right now I have to make some hard dessions and try to organize my life. There are a lot of people that have walked in and out of my life, but the people here have left prints in my heart. Right now I am asking Jesus to guide me. If everything works out. I will be back. Thanks.. Lucy

Oh you bet! You are on my list of friends.../ f.e.f./ I also hope she will stay, but she has her own mind. I can not beg her to stay if she is not happy? Maybe this will bring her tears of joy by letting her know she is truly loved. :o)
