This Redemption Day
This redemption day.
Heavenly Father, most gracious Lord,
Please show this child the way.
I hope that you are hearing me,
On this redemption day.
My time down here will soon be done,
And death I must surely face.
Forgive my sins, my thoughts of hate,
When I leave this worldly place.
The gates of heaven I hope to see,
When my heart will cease to beat.
My soul will rise to thee,
And I hope it's me you'll greet.
