This Poem Is For You
This poem is for you
You told me that
each day you read
the poetry
I pen
It seems to be
the only way
to bring your smile
again
That life is tough
and troubles deep
the weight just brings
you down
And teardrops fall
upon your face
now painted with
a frown
But when you see
the words I write
your sadness
disappears
You read each verse
of endless love
forgetting all
your fears
For even in
your darkest hour
with worries you
conceal
My poetry
brings out the light
of happiness
you feel
Well, here we are
again today
as morning comes
in view
So now sit back
and read my words,
this poem is
for you
