This Now Yet Coming Kingdom

I see another Kingdom,
One more grand than earthly power.
It's inhabitants without number
even until this present hour.

Existing through the ages,
It's banner lifted for all to see,
This now yet coming Kingdom,
The only hope to set men free.

Serving a King like no other,
We bow down on bent knee
To Jesus,The One and Only Wise God,
For what is and yet shall be.

Ok Doug here goes, the verse would be strengthened by sticking to a pattern of meter. My thoughts are odd numbered lines jar..even numbered lines lull. I think you intend a peacefull verse..this is what you have 7,8,9,9/7.9,7.8/8,6,10,7....This would make a good and appropriate sonnet, often 10 syllables per line. the couplet usually summarizes the theme of the poem or introduces a fresh new look at the theme...This would involve adding words rather than subtracting. light & love
