I sometimes wonder should we become a third world nation, who will be left to save us . . . : /

You think we're not a 3rd world nation yet? I think we are, except for pockets of suburbia and pockets of large cities. Otherwise, we're getting there... ~ Time to go to Mars

It is really hard for us, but we know we have to do what we have to do which is let the economy die a naturally painful death.

You think so?... I think we just ought to enforce the hell out of mandated mask-wearing and social distancing in all public places, including private businesses... Also, we shouldn't open the schools this fall. That's either suicide or homicide depending on how one views it. ~ My two cents, gw

Right. Dead people can't work, spend, save, or invest, at least, as far as I know.

Mask, why don't people wear masks and social distance, Corona would be getting ready to say good-bye - would you have the vaccine Gershon, I think I would. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

It's a great question, Jennifer. The question of the moment, the day, and the year -- and in the U.S., likely for 2021 as well. My take: Just as you can't legislate love (for other races, for example), so can't you legislate personal behavior(s). Never could. You can brutally enforce it in a dictatorship, but you can't make it go in the USA, (formerly) the freest society ever... As for the vaccine, sure I'd take it. It can only help me, I imagine. Thanks for a brilliant comment! :) gw

Damned if we do, damned if we don't, we are not in a good place at the moment. Tom

We either get one end burned or the other end. I'd name them, but this is a family-friendly website. lol. Thanks, Tom. :) gw

It's so tough when people must choose between their health and their livelihood. A well crafted epigram, Gershon. My very best wishes, Evelyn
