This Man With the Healing Hand
"The MAN With The Healing Hand"
"Faith Is The Substance Of Evidence Unseen!"
The first time I heard that I thought "What does that really mean?"
My understanding of that now is better, for I do understand,
"Faith and Trust" in "This MAN With The Healing Hand!"
HIS name was Jesus and He existed long ago!
Actually, He's still here! This I really do know!
Now, how do I know this, I'm living proof, you see!
"This MAN With The Healing Hand"
has healed and loved a wretch like me!
My direction, at one time, was heading the wrong way!
I was the cause of no "Light" being in my day!
Walking 'blind as a bat", a man full of glitches,
I kept stumbling and falling head first into ditches!
One day after a stumble, while in a life pit I sit,
I turned my gaze upward and cried out,
"LORD!...Is This IT???"
"Will I ever know Peace and walk with true sight?...
or will stumbling and falling into pits be my life's plight?"
I opened a book called
the "B-asic I-nstructions B-efore L-eaving E-arth!"
I started reading the "Words in Red" thinking, "Now, what is this really worth?"
A scripture caught my eye that I do believe I was meant to see!
It said "Take My Yoke Upon You......And Learn Of Me!"
"For I Am Meek And Lowly In Heart And Ye Shall Find Peace For Your Soul!"
I thought "This MAN wants to help me......get up out of this hole!"
His very next words stopped my blindness and then gave me new sight,
He said "For My Yoke Is Easy......And My Burden Is Light!"
The next thing I knew I arose and stood and the dark started turning to "Light!"
I shouted "Hey! Now this is good! I can feel this MAN's Power and Might!"
A "Hand" reached out and grasped my hand and then did help me up!
I knew then that "Forevermore" I would drink from this "MAN's" cup!
There's a simple phrase that He says! He says "Come, Follow Me!"
Now that I have, I now know the "Truth" and that "Truth" has set me free!
Yes, "Faith Is The Substance Of Evidence Unseen!"
I do now know exactly what that phrase does mean!
My understanding of that now is much better, for I "DO" understand,
I have absolute "Faith and Trust" in "This MAN With The Healing Hand!"
