This Little Soul of Me

This little soul of me
As bright and vibrant as can be,
Hidden so those who approach cannot see
The mask hides my inner being
For vulnerability remains covert, constantly fleeing
This little soul of me
Is this how I am supposed to be?
Hesitantly cautious,
But quite ambitious
Inside movement affects my otter shell
For putting my subtleties out in the open, will get me burned
I prefer not to travel to hell
This little soul of me
True to its instinct,
Until the day, we both become extinct
This little soul of me, be who you were made to be
