This Jesus

This Jesus you talk about the one I read about in that story
The One who can end all doubt and will come again in Glory
The One who cured all the ailing and gave sight to the blind
That even in all of my own failing it is Him I can still easily find

This Jesus that you so often mention in all of the words you write
That He is the Fathers only Son and that He came to reveal the Light
This Man so pure of heart whose own Words would befuddle the wise
The new religion He would start in walking amongst those who despise

This Man who on water could walk or instantly calm the roughest sea
Where thousands listened to Him talk in realizing that He set them free
The One who would feed them all just from what a boy had in his basket
This Man who took the fall and yet so many sinners still won't admit

Well I am no longer one of those as His Joy has taken hold of my heart
In my whole being now knows as He has taken hold of every single part
Oh I still stumble and fall but now I have a reason to get right back up
For I too have heard His Call, myself so blessed to drink from His Cup
