This Is Your World

This is your world
Your day and
Your time
It's all right there
For the taking

Go for the win
Drain the clock
Drain the shot
Cut down the nets
The dedication
To the craft you've been
Mastering
For so many days that
You expect to win
Anticipate being
A champion
All cavelier when it's on the line
Because losing here
Has never crossed your mind
Hanging banners there
Like Chandeliers
On some whatever stuff
Like it happens all the time
Absorb the losses
To inspire progress
Get on a roll
Until your tire's popping
It could all be yours
But nothing's given
Because competition
Is unforgiving
But that's to be expected
You got to stay the course
& Dont abort the mission

This is your world
Your day and
Your time
It"s all right there
For the taking8

If they knock you down
Get back up
Or you will prove them right
You weren't good enough
My last resort has last resorts
My last resorts are never done
Everyone's against me forget everyone
Success is the best revenge that anyone
Could ever have and by quitting now
You'll be remembered
As the dude who threw in the towel
Step up to the plate and rise to the occasion
Never be timid or intimidated
If you ain't the best
You should be doing your best
To be putting yourself
In the conversation
If they're debating put it to rest
Show them how you play when
You're put to the test
Make all of them haters say
Who would have guessed
Do W-O-R-K
Then jet

This is your world
Your day and
Your time
It"s all right there
For the taking

An optimistic, uplifting pump up speech many need to hear, and probably never have.
